Living in Grand-Lancy

As its name suggests, this area sees things on a grand scale. There are major sports facilities: the Stade de Genève, Marignac Olympic outdoor swimming pool and numerous multipurpose sports halls. Grand-Lancy also hosts two of the most renowned private schools in the canton: the Institut Florimont and the Institut International de Lancy. The opening of the Lancy-Pont Rouge station has injects further impetus into the area by connecting it to the all-new CEVA rail network, linking neighbouring France to French-speaking Switzerland.
